Didymos Lilies Anthracite Tussah

The second Tussah silk wrap this year: Didymos Lilies Anthracite with 40% Tussah silk. Very classy and on the thicker side: size 6 weighs 779 grams.

Didymos Lilies Tussah

The first and last wraps with Tussah silk that Didymos released, were from 2010. So it's good to hear there's a new Tussah silk wrap: Lilies with 30% Tussah silk. This was a very limited release, that was only available at Didymos. I was curious about it, so I bought one.

It's very pretty, the silky shimmer is really gorgeous. This is a rather thin wrap, a size 6 weighs approximately 569 grams (I had to recalculate from a size 7).

Didymos Butterflies Silk Cyclamen

This was a nice surprise from Didymos: first, they showed the lovely pink yarn and offered a few options for a second colour. Most mamas voted for a light purple silk yarn. Next, some designs were presented to choose from. Butterflies and Lilies were the winners. Here are pictures from the Butterflies Silk Cyclamen. It's a thin wrap (forgot to weigh it before it was sold, I'm sorry!) with an amazing silky sheen. These pictures are made of a doll wrap version of the Butterflies.

Didymos Indio Powder-Silk

Yes, it does resemble Rose Seide Indio an awful lot. But there is a difference: RSI has two colours (pink and natural silk) whereas Powder Silk Indio has three: pink, powder (a very pale pink) and natural silk. The pink and silk colours of RSI and PSI are the same. But this wrap is much thinner than RSI: Powder-Silk Indio weighs only 569 grams for a size 6.

Didymos Slate Silk Indio

Unfortunately, I didn't have any Anthracite Hemp Indio's around for comparison pics. But I'm pretty sure the dark colour of Anthracite and Didymos Slate Silk Indio are the same. With Anthracite, undyed hemp was used as the weft and with Slate Silk Indio the weft was undyed silk (30%). Very lovely!

Slate Silk Indio is even thinner than Leander Silk Waves, SSI weighs 528 grams for a size 6.

Didymos Leander Silk Waves

This very pretty Leander Silk Waves is made of 65% organic cotton and 35% silk (the label in the wrap and on the box say 30%, but don't believe them. It's 35%.)

It's very thin and light (the silk makes it appear almost weightless!). It weighs 571 grams for a size 6. It has this beautiful silk sheen.
