So Didymos decided to get rid of the strips of 1975 and Indio in between the patterns, which makes this Second Time Travel much easier on the eyes. It's a pretty combination of red linen and black cotton (Stendhal, anyone?). And on the wrap are: Birds, Fish, Nino, Geckos, Lilies, Nautilus, Ellipses. The patterns are all larger than usual, no idea why. Size 6 weighs 718 grams.
"Let's see if there's any new releases," I thought as I awoke from a well-deserved nap last Friday. And yes, there it was, right on my birthday: Nino natural hemp. Anyone who knows me, knows how special Nino wraps are to me, because of my son's name.
This Nino natural with 50% hemp reminds me very much of the Nino Lemon with 50% linen that once lived here (it moved to a new home a long time ago!). Although Nino Lemon was much thicker (around 280 g/m2, if I recall right, compared to 235 g/m2 for Nino hemp), it had the same sturdy appearance because of the irregularities of the linen. The hemp has the same appearance. I love it!
ETA I have now washed and ironed it, so I now know the real weight. It weighs 260 g/m2. The cotton side is super soft already and my daughter felt weightless yesterday when we tried it on. It is very warm here right now, so she wanted out after 10 minutes. But this one is definitely a favourite already!

Another super fluffy Lisca colourway: Didymos Lisca Lenz. The swatch pic showed a very vibrant green and blue, but I think the colours are more muted in real life. Size 6 weighs 694 grams.
Too bad I already got married over 10 years ago, or else I would definitely have carried my baby in this wrap. This Didymos 1975 Tussah with 40% Tussah silk just screams 'wedding'! Size 6 weighs 674 grams, so I have a feeling that the 190 g/m2 that Didymos claims for this wrap is on the low side. But I think they measure and weigh the wraps pre-wash while I like to do that post-wash.

Another 1975 wrap! The box for size 7 says 1975 acqua but the size 6 box says 1975 Mystic Petrol. This is a tricolor wrap with petrol and aqua cotton threads and natural hemp. Super pretty!
